To celebrate our first birthday\, we are giving you a double-feature of satanic panic and droning synthesizers courtesy of our friends at the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA)! The night will begin with THE BLACK CRYSTAL (1991)\, a regional action oddity and vanity project from Mike Conway\, who acts as lead actor\, as well as writer\, director\, producer\, editor\, and composer. If you are a fan of lo-fi action\, ambition that exceeds its budget\, and satanic cults\, this is going to be your jam! The madness then continues with SATAN WAR (1979)\, a regional horror riff on THE AMITYVILLE HORROR that is a total audiovisual barnburner. In between the films\, we will have an intermission featuring one of the compilations from AGFA's HEY FOLKS! IT'S THE INTERMISSION TIME VIDEO PARTY mixtape.
