SUMMARY:Exploring Nature Through Photography (for Kids)
DESCRIPTION:Instructor:  Amber Braxton of Amber Braxton Fine Art\n\n What You'll Learn:  This class focuses on nature-based learning rooted in observation\, curiosity\, and respect for the environment\, while learning creative photography.  The course includes visual storytelling using age-appropriate tools (from simple cameras to mindful observations). Students will engage in hands-on exploration of nature that can include bugs\, plants\, animals\, textures\, light\, and seasonal changes.\n\nAll participants will receive a Nature Observation Card\, Field Prompt Card and Beginner Photography Tip Sheet.\n\nSkill Level/Age Range:  Beginner / Ages 8-11\n\nStudent Instructions:  Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes.  Dress for Northwest weather (layers or rain gear).  Bring your cellphone (or camera) and a water bottle.\n\nNote:  This nature walk will take approximately 2 hours.  Parents/adults will drop off and pick up kids at the location noted above.\n\nMaterials Needed:  Bring your own camera (cell phone or digital camera).
