DESCRIPTION:Build your toolbox for supporting the Youth in your life on Saturday\, May 21!\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nYouth Mental Health First Aid is a FREE one-day workshop designed to teach parents\, family members\, caregivers\, teachers\, school staff\, peers\, health and human services workers\, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe course introduces common mental health challenges for youth\, reviews typical adolescent development\, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease note: There is a prerequisite of a 2 hour self paced online training to be completed 48 hours prior to the training to be admitted to the virtual instructor led training.
