Your instructor, Danalynn Coulon, will help you learn some basic watercolor and ink techniques, as well as learning tips and tricks for creating beautiful and interesting travel journal style layouts (even if you’re just traveling to your backyard!). You will leave the class with a beautiful piece of frameable “travel journal-style” art that you will make during the class.
This creative and inspirational class is for artists ages 12 and up (younger than 12 can attend if accompanied by a parent or with permission from the instructor).

Please bring the recommended supplies:
1. Sketchbook or paper that accepts watercolor - $5-15 If you need to buy a new book, I love this sketchbook from Amazon (https://tinyurl.com/4x8byxvn ), but any watercolor sketchbook or watercolor paper will do!
2. Watercolor paints in a “good to use in the field” format, such as a pocket box - $15+ There are many options, but this is a good introductory kit: https://tinyurl.com/tm4zsspz
3. Waterproof pens (such as Micron pens) - $5+ Make sure your ink is absolutely waterproof! Micron pens are a good choice (https://tinyurl.com/mmbmxk5p) as is the Pentel Pocket Brush pen (https://tinyurl.com/hjy7fw95 ) . Bring at least one.
4.Pencil with eraser - I prefer a mechanical pencil, but any sharp pencil will be fine
5.Ruler -n I prefer a small L-square ruler (such as this one: https://tinyurl.com/nnckwp32 ), but any small ruler will be fine
6.Water brush $10+ There are many brands, but I’ve had good experiences with Niji: https://tinyurl.com/kspumpkw
7. A thirst for adventure!
