Ryan (Bill LeVasseur) is a college student who finds himself on the run from the drunk, shotgun-wielding father of his stalker after a “cry for help” incident. While on the run, Ryan contemplates his place in the world… and also ends up kidnapped multiple times, drugged, helping out a single mother and her child, and working in a male strip club, among many other misadventures. Filmed around Saskatchewan and airing on Canadian television a few times before it nearly disappeared into obscurity and was rescued from a dumpster by the fine folks at Videonomicon, RYAN’S BABE is a mind-melting, completely incomprehensible alien transmission from another planet. It defies logic, storytelling conventions, film literacy, and technical competency for one of the weirdest, most singular cinematic experiences this side of THE ROOM that you will ever have.
