Writer's Craft: Writing Lessons Distilled from “You the Story” by Ruta Sepetys- Four Sessions

 What You'll Learn:  Each session will cover 2 topics pertinent to writing a good story. Participants will leave with their work, reference sheets and great ideas for how to further their writing project(s).

Session 2 - Voice and Perspective                    

Session 3 - Setting and Dialogue                      

Session 4 - Research and Revision

Skill Level/Age Range:  All Levels/ 16+

Student Instructions:  Participants are encouraged to bring laptops if that is your preferred method of writing; otherwise, you will be writing by hand on paper.  Please note, this course has four separate 90 minute sessions.   Each can be taken as a stand alone class with unique topics covered in each session.  

 Materials Needed:  The instructor will provide paper, pens, handouts to support the weekly lesson, and a QR Code to any digital materials used.
